Preparation
- In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, salt, chopped rosemary, minced garlic, sugar or honey, and dry yeast. Stir until well combined.
- Pour the warm water into the bowl and mix together until it forms a sticky dough.
- Cover the bowl with a clean kitchen towel or plastic wrap and let the dough rest at room temperature for about 1 hour.
- Preheat your oven to 200°C (392°F) while the dough is rising.
- Line a baking tray with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
- Once the dough has risen, gently transfer it to the prepared baking tray and flatten into a round or oval shape.
- Sprinkle extra chopped rosemary and a pinch of salt on top of the dough.
Baking
- Place the flatbread in the oven and bake for about 20 minutes, until golden brown and the edges are crisp.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool on a wire rack for about 5 minutes.
- Cut into wedges or strips and enjoy warm.
Notes
For added flavor, dip in olive oil, layer with toppings, or serve with soups and salads. Can substitute all-purpose flour with whole wheat or spelt flour for a nuttier taste.
