Ingredients

Main ingredients
  • ½ cup rolled oats (45g)
  • ½ cup milk (120ml) (dairy or plant-based)
  • ¼ cup Greek yogurt (60g)
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds (optional) (15g)
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional) (15g)
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract (2.5ml)
  • Pinch cinnamon (optional)
Toppings
  • ¼–½ cup Greek yogurt (for topping) (60–120g)
  • ¼–½ cup fresh blueberries (40–80g)
  • 1 tablespoon blueberry jam or compote (optional) (15g)

Method

Preparation
  1. In a jar or container, mix rolled oats, milk, Greek yogurt, chia seeds, sweetener, vanilla, and cinnamon until well combined.
  2. Cover and place in fridge for at least 6 hours, ideally overnight. The oats will absorb liquid and thicken.
Serving
  1. The next morning, stir oats, then top with Greek yogurt, fresh blueberries, and a drizzle of blueberry jam or compote.
  2. Enjoy straight from the jar/container cold, or microwave for 30–40 seconds if you prefer it warm.

Notes

Overnight Oats can be served directly from the jar. For added flavor and texture, consider sprinkling some nuts or seeds on top for a crunchy contrast. This recipe is versatile, so feel free to mix in other fruits, such as bananas or strawberries, to create your perfect morning bowl.
