Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 80 grams 80 grams of walnuts (about 2.8 oz)
  • 1 piece 1 ripe banana Use overripe for more sweetness.
  • 10 grams 10 grams of vanilla sugar (about 0.35 oz)
  • 1 cup 1 cup of oat flour (120 grams) Can substitute with regular flour.
  • 1 tablespoon 1 tablespoon of cocoa powder
  • 1 tablespoon 1 tablespoon of sesame seeds
  • 120 ml 120 ml of water (about ½ cup)

Method

Preparation
  1. Begin by placing 1 cup of oat flour and 80 grams of walnuts in a blender or food processor. Blend them together until they form a fine flour.
  2. Transfer the blended mixture to a large bowl. Add 10 grams of vanilla sugar, 1 tablespoon of sesame seeds, and the mashed banana. Then, sprinkle in 1 tablespoon of cocoa powder.
  3. Pour in 120 ml of water gradually while mixing everything together. Stir until you have a well-combined mix that is sticky but firm enough to hold its shape when rolled.
  4. With your hands, take small portions of the mixture and roll them into balls about the size of a golf ball. Place the formed balls on a baking tray lined with baking paper.
Baking
  1. Preheat your oven to 180 degrees Celsius (356 degrees Fahrenheit).
  2. Once hot, place the baking tray in the oven and bake for about 30 minutes or until the balls turn golden brown. Keep an eye on them to avoid over-baking.
Serving Suggestions
  1. Once your Oat and Banana Balls are out of the oven and cooled slightly, serve them with yogurt and honey for a nutritious breakfast.
  2. Snack on them throughout the day or pack a few for a quick on-the-go snack.
  3. For a decorative touch, sprinkle some extra sesame seeds over the balls before serving.

Notes

Keep your Oat and Banana Balls in an airtight container at room temperature for a few days, or in the fridge for even longer freshness. Experiment with add-ins like dark chocolate chips or dried fruit for extra flavor.
