Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 180 degrees C.
- Grease a medium-sized baking dish or cake pan with butter and dust it lightly with cornmeal or flour.
- In a blender, add the eggs, sugar, butter, and milk. Blend for 2-3 minutes until the mixture is smooth.
- Add the cornmeal, all-purpose flour, and grated Parmesan cheese to the blender. Blend for an additional 1 minute until fully combined.
- Gently add the baking powder and pulse for a few seconds to incorporate it into the mixture.
Baking
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 45-55 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
- Allow the cake to cool for 15-20 minutes before slicing.
Notes
Custard Cake can be served with confectioners’ sugar, fresh fruits, or a dollop of whipped cream. It pairs well with tea or coffee. Enjoy warm for comfort or chilled as a refreshing dessert.
