Ingredients
  

For the cake
  • 3 large large eggs
  • 200 g sugar (1 cup)
  • 3 tablespoons butter or margarine
  • 5 tablespoons cornmeal
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 liter milk
  • 50 g grated Parmesan cheese
  • 14 g baking powder (1 tablespoon)

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 180 degrees C.
  2. Grease a medium-sized baking dish or cake pan with butter and dust it lightly with cornmeal or flour.
  3. In a blender, add the eggs, sugar, butter, and milk. Blend for 2-3 minutes until the mixture is smooth.
  4. Add the cornmeal, all-purpose flour, and grated Parmesan cheese to the blender. Blend for an additional 1 minute until fully combined.
  5. Gently add the baking powder and pulse for a few seconds to incorporate it into the mixture.
Baking
  1. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish.
  2. Bake in the preheated oven for 45-55 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
  3. Allow the cake to cool for 15-20 minutes before slicing.

Notes

Custard Cake can be served with confectioners’ sugar, fresh fruits, or a dollop of whipped cream. It pairs well with tea or coffee. Enjoy warm for comfort or chilled as a refreshing dessert.
