Ingredients
  

For the Baked Peppers
  • 1 kilogram roasted, peeled peppers About 2.2 lbs
  • 100 milliliters vegetable oil For greasing the baking dish
  • 2-3 cloves garlic, chopped Adjust to taste
  • Salt to taste Salt
  • Ground black pepper to taste Ground black pepper
For the Creamy Sauce
  • 200 grams sour cream 7 oz
  • 200 grams yogurt 7 oz
  • 100 milliliters water For thinning the sauce
  • 1 tablespoon flour For thickening the sauce

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 200 degrees Celsius (400 degrees Fahrenheit).
  2. Cut the roasted peppers into large strips and set them aside.
  3. Grease a baking dish with vegetable oil to prevent sticking.
  4. Arrange the sliced peppers in the baking dish, layering them if needed, and sprinkle the chopped garlic between the layers.
Baking
  1. Bake the peppers in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes, allowing them to soften.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together the sour cream, yogurt, water, and flour until smooth and creamy.
  3. Season the creamy mixture with salt and ground black pepper to taste.
  4. After 20 minutes, remove the peppers from the oven and pour the creamy mixture evenly over them.
  5. Return the dish to the oven and bake for another 30 minutes until hot and slightly golden on top.
  6. Once done, let it cool slightly, then slice and serve warm.

Notes

For added flavor, consider adding a pinch of chili flakes or paprika to the creamy mixture. You can also sprinkle grated cheese on top before the second bake for extra richness.
