  • 800 grams Cottage cheese
  • 120 grams Sour cream
  • 120 grams Sugar Adjust to taste
  • 30 grams Cornstarch Reserve the remaining amount for coating cherries
  • 3 pcs Eggs Wash before cracking
  • 1 pack Vanilla sugar (about 10 grams)
  • 1 gram Salt A pinch

  • 150 grams Pitted cherries Can use fresh or frozen

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Gather and prepare your ingredients, ensuring they are all at room temperature.
Mixing Ingredients
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine cottage cheese, sour cream, 30 grams of cornstarch, eggs, sugar, vanilla sugar, and a pinch of salt.
  2. Blend the mixture until smooth using a hand blender or regular blender.
Preparing Cherries
  1. Coat the pitted cherries in the remaining cornstarch and gently stir to ensure they are well covered.
Layering
  1. Line a baking dish with parchment paper and lightly grease it with vegetable oil.
  2. Spread half of the cottage cheese mixture in the dish, add the cherries on top, and layer the remaining cheese mixture, pressing the cherries gently into the surface.
Baking
  1. Preheat your oven to 180 degrees Celsius (350 degrees Fahrenheit).
  2. Bake the casserole for about 45 to 50 minutes until it turns golden brown.
  3. Once baked, let it cool completely, then cut into slices and serve.

Notes

Serve warm or cold. Consider dusting with powdered sugar or adding whipped cream. Fresh mint leaves can enhance presentation.
