Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 7 grams Agar Approximately 1 tablespoon
  • 400 ml coconut milk About 1¾ cups
  • 50 grams unsweetened cocoa powder Around ½ cup
  • 180 ml water About ¾ cup

Method

Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, take the 7 grams of Agar and 60 ml of water. Stir gently until you achieve a thick and creamy consistency.
Combine Ingredients
  1. In a deep stainless steel pan, mix together 400 ml of coconut milk, 50 grams of unsweetened cocoa powder, and 120 ml of water.
Mix and Heat
  1. Add the thick Agar mixture to the pan with the coconut milk and cocoa mixture. Using a whisk, ensure everything is well combined.
  2. Place the pan on medium heat. Allow the mixture to come to a gentle boil while stirring occasionally to avoid lumps.
Chill
  1. Once the mixture is ready, pour it into a silicone baking tray. Refrigerate for 1 to 2 hours so the dessert can solidify properly.
Serve
  1. After chilling, remove the dessert from the fridge and serve cold.

Notes

For serving, slice the solidified dessert and arrange on a plate. Garnish with fresh fruit, whipped cream, or chocolate sauce, and consider serving with herbal tea or vanilla ice cream. You can sweeten it with maple syrup or honey and try adding vanilla extract for flavor variations. The dessert can be stored in the fridge for up to three days.
