  • 8 slices toast bread
  • 2 pieces apples
  • 50 g butter
  • 3 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 2 teaspoons cane sugar

Preparation
  1. Begin by arranging the 8 slices of toast bread on a flat surface.
  2. Generously cover each slice with butter.
  3. Peel the two apples and slice them thinly. Cover half of the buttered slices with the apple slices.
  4. Sprinkle 3 teaspoons of ground cinnamon over the apple slices.
  5. Spread 2 teaspoons of cane sugar on top of the cinnamon layer.
  6. Place the remaining buttered slices on top of the apple-topped slices, forming sandwiches.
  7. Line a toaster with baking paper, then place the filled bread sandwiches in it. Bake for 2 to 3 minutes, until they are golden brown.
  8. Once baked, serve immediately, sprinkled with powdered sugar.

Notes

Best served warm straight from the toaster. You can enjoy it on its own or with whipped cream, vanilla ice cream, or honey. Great with morning coffee or tea.
