During a leisurely nature walk with her two Siberian Huskies, Pisareva stumbled upon an equestrian club where stunt horses were being trained for various events. One of her dogs was particularly mesmerized by the horses’ graceful movements. This observation sparked an idea in Pisareva’s mind: to capture the essence of interspecies friendship through her photography.
The Introduction of Sob Aku
Eager to bring her vision to life, Pisareva collaborated with a friend who owned an Alaskan Malamute named Sob Aku. The plan was to introduce Sob Aku to a gentle gray horse at the equestrian club and document their interaction. Despite having never met before, the two animals displayed an immediate and mutual curiosity. Their first meeting was devoid of aggression; instead, it was filled with a genuine desire to connect.
Capturing the Magic
Equipped with her Canon camera and a Canon 70-200 L II lens, Pisareva chose a tranquil forest setting for the photoshoot to ensure the animals remained undisturbed. The resulting images are nothing short of magical. They depict the horse and the Malamute nuzzling affectionately, playing in the snow, and sharing moments of serene companionship. One particularly endearing shot features Sob Aku perched comfortably on the horse’s back, symbolizing the trust and affection they developed in such a short time.

She emphasizes the importance of ensuring her animal subjects are comfortable and willing participants. “In all my shootings, I absolutely do not allow the slightest pressure on the animals,” she explains.
