Cooking Tips and Tricks
-
Customize Your Veggies: Feel free to swap the broccoli with other leafy greens or vegetables such as spinach, bell peppers, or zucchini depending on your preferences or what you have on hand.
-
Cheese Options: While parmesan cheese adds a nice flavor, you can substitute it with feta cheese for a tangy kick or mozzarella for a creamier texture.
-
Perfectly Setting Eggs: To ensure the frittata cooks evenly, avoid stirring once you pour in the egg mixture. It’s important to let it cook undisturbed, allowing the bottom to set properly before finishing it under the grill.
Possible Variations
-
Mediterranean Frittata: Add ingredients like olives, sun-dried tomatoes, or feta cheese along with the original vegetables for an attractive Mediterranean twist.
-
Spicy Southwest Frittata: Incorporate diced jalapeños, corn, and black beans for a more flavorful and spicy version, topped with shredded cheddar cheese instead of parmesan.
This Broccoli & Potato Frittata is not only a hearty dish but also a canvas for experimentation. Enjoy this nutritious meal that caters to your taste and dietary preferences!
